As part of Subaru’s “Share the Love” campaign, Mitchell Subaru of Canton donated over $4,200 to The Village for Families & Children, to support programs and services to vulnerable children and families in the Greater Hartford area.
The Share the Love campaign donates $250 for every new Subaru vehicle sold or leased from Nov. 21 through Jan. 2. Since the program’s inception, Subaru has donated nearly $30 million to charitable causes. This past year, Subaru added a new element to “Share the Love,” in which Subaru dealers chose a local sixth charity to add to the five national charities that Subaru supports, and an additional $250 would be donated to this local charity when chosen by the Subaru customer. Mitchell Subaru chose The Village for Families & Children, and raised $4,200 during the “Share the Love” campaign for The Village.
On March 12th, Mark Mitchell, dealer principle, and Jill Mitchell, dealer spokeswoman, presented the check to Galo Rodriguez, president and CEO of The Village at the Mitchell Subaru Showroom, Route 44 in Canton.
“The Mitchell family is deeply committed to this community and The Village is proud and grateful for their support,” said Galo Rodriguez, president and CEO of The Village. “With the support of businesses like Mitchell Subaru and individual donors, we are better able to serve the vulnerable children and families of this region, to help them overcome challenges that life throws at them.”
“At Mitchell’s we see the bigger picture and giving back to the local community is a huge part of that,” said Jill Mitchell, dealer spokeswoman. “Children and families in our local area need our help and that is why we chose The Village. We will continue to support The Village for Families and Children in the future and deeply respect their commitment to nurturing families in need throughout the Greater Hartford region.”

Proceeds from the event go directly to five charities that are experienced in “putting aid to work in Haiti”, and all donations are tax deductible.
